The White City Development Area which is located to the north of the Whitecity Shopping centre comprises 43 acres extending north from Aerial Way under Westway to Shinfield Street, and east from Wood Lane to the A3220. It represents one of the bigger redevelopment opportunities in London.

The majority of this site is owned by six different landowners, who have all come together to help plan its redevelopment. The landowners are the Helical Bar plc, Morley Fund Management, BBC, Land Securities plc, Lattice Group Pension Scheme and Marks & Spencer.
