The Propsosed master Plan

The site, at present, is significantly underdeveloped, inhospitable and isolated from its surroundings - cut-off by roads and rail routes and inaccessible to members of the public. OMA's masterplan aims to regenerate this area and to create a thriving new mixed use urban quarter, which meets local needs and is integrated into the local surroundings.

The draft masterplan sets out to divide the 43 acre site into three distinct clusters each with its own urban character drawn from around London.

The masterplan will create a mixed use development that could potentially offer:

  • 3000-4000 new homes

  • Office space providing a minimum of 11 000 new jobs

  • Media Work Spaces and Studios

  • Cafes and restaurants

  • Art Gallery

  • Leisure Centre

  • GP/Dental Practices, Daycare facilities and a New School

  • Hotel

  • Youth facilities and Sports fields

  • Space for local businesses

  • Leisure uses including a leisure centre, hotel, community hall and marketplace

  • An enhanced White City underground train station.
