Connecting the three clusters, the masterplan proposes two new large public open spaces. Each cluster will also have a series of smaller public open spaces within it. The design and landscaping of these spaces is a collaboration between OMA and Wirtz.
Linking the open spaces
The open spaces are to be linked by a linear water canal running from north to south. Within each open space there will also be children's play equipment, seating, quiet shaded areas and recreation spaces. A network of vehicle, pedestrian and cycle links from the surrounding neighbourhoods into the site will enable the whole area to benefit from the new facilities the development will offer.
